Dog Boarding FAQs

Answers to the most common questions about boarding your dog at Dioji.

Is there staff on-site overnight with the dogs?

Yes, our trained overnight staff are on-site 24/7 to monitor all boarding guests. Your dog is never left unattended during their stay at Dioji.

Can unaltered (not spayed/neutered) dogs board at Dioji?

Unaltered dogs over 7 months old can stay in our Private Luxury Suite, which offers private play options. The Signature Social Suite and Private Den require dogs over 7 months to be spayed or neutered, as these include group play.

What happens if a dog shows aggressive behavior?

Safety is our top priority. All dogs must pass a temperament evaluation before joining group play. If a dog shows signs of aggression during their stay, our trained staff will separate them and contact the owner immediately. We reserve the right to end a stay early if necessary for the safety of all guests.

What is the temperament evaluation?

The temperament evaluation is a supervised introduction where our trained staff assess your dog's behavior around other dogs and people. It helps us determine the best play group and boarding option for your pup. Evaluations are required before the first boarding or daycare visit.

What should I bring for my dog's boarding stay?

Complimentary meals are included, but you're welcome to bring your dog's regular food if they have a sensitive stomach or special diet. You may also bring a favorite toy or blanket for comfort. We ask that you leave leashes and collars at home, as we provide slip leads for safety.

How is feeding handled during boarding?

We provide complimentary meals for all boarding guests. If your dog has a special diet or food allergies, you can bring their regular food and we'll follow your feeding instructions. Medication administration is also included at no extra charge.
